Review: Star Trek novel #84
This'un features the return of Gary Seven (from the original TV series episode,
Assignment: Earth) and his kitty-slash-hubba hubba chick, Isis. (Full disclosure: at time of writing, four cats own me.)
I found this tome at a local library fundraiser, inside one of two huge boxes o' Trek selling for 10 bucks (a volunteer said they can't get rid of them, and every year the price goes down). Since I already owned two-thirds of the the available selection, I grabbed a mere 34 and sashayed proudly to the exit. After a brief discussion about the cost of the complete set and my smaller collection, the cashier asked for $3. I refused. These are valuable books!
She revised up to $5. I made a face. We agreed on $10.
My girlfriend says I'm not allowed to go shopping on my own anymore.
