Me me me

A reminder that I'll be speaking at the annual general meeting of the St. Catharines, Ontario, chapter of PFLAG (Parents, Families, Friends of Lesbians and Gays). That's at 7pm on Tuesday, April 12, at the Unitarian Congregation of Niagara, 223 Church St.

I thought your talk most provoking. Not preaching to the choir at all, but developing debate. As a long time Pflagger, we need to have that debate opened. Some of the committed couples (gays in attendance) were sortof outraged at your comments on separate 'culture's', if I understand it correctly. I dunno. You opened up the whole of idea of maybyenot kowtowing to popular culture ideas of 'tolerance and acceptance.' Having lived in Boston in the 60's during Stonewall, and having direct contact (work) with many (at that time) closeted gays, I have grown a lot in my understanding of issues. Please do read 'Bear with me" OK

Hello,

I just want to thank you for sharing your opinions with us last night at the PFLAG meeting in St. Catharines. Though I personally found some of your arguments flawed, I still appreciate how you handled yourself and sparked some interesting debate. We need more discussions to take place instead of just assuming that "we" are always right.
