On "Looking for Comedy..."
How many dollars and cents separate a snort from an outright guffaw? The new
Albert Brooks flick,
"Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World," gave me one big yuk and three laughelettos, or one giggle per 24.5 minutes. Unweighted, I paid $2 a snicker.
But surely the amused smile and the boffo gargle manifest a different worth. What of a titter? A quarter per moved muscle? Five cents per calorie expended? So many questions. So much time during this movie in which to ponder them.
